Subject: [FL4RonPaul] Ron Paulers invade Hollywood!

This is from Jeff Palmer, an RLCer from North Carolina who is
attending the YRNC 2007 in Hollywood this week. -pb

+++++

Young Republicans kicking off their national convention yesterday in
Hollywood, Florida were greeted by nearly 50 energized Ron Paul
supporters from the Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach-area
Ron Paul Meet-Up groups as well as supporters from as far away as
North Carolina.

The response was fantastic! Ron Paul sign waivers in front of the
conference hotel elicited honking horns or thumbs up from, without
exaggerating, approximately 20 to 25% of passersby (an estimated 900
vehicles per hour) and only 4 "negative responses". While we
targeted YRs arriving at the conference, most were just members of
the general public driving on A1A on their way to 4th of July
celebrations which makes the familiarity with and support of Ron
even more impressive. [No doubt, the pollsters will dismiss all
this support as just internet spamming… ;) ] The effort was
covered by at least two media outlets.

No other presidential candidate had even ONE supporter in sight..
Not Giuliani… Not McCain… Not even Mitt Romney or Duncan Hunter
who are scheduled to address the conference.

Special thanks goes to Phil Blumel of the Florida Republican Liberty
Caucus for coordinating the effor and everyone who came out -- in
spite of the rain -- for this friendly show of force for Ron. As a
co-sponsor of the conference, the Republican Liberty Caucus will
maintain a table inside the convention and continue to carry the
libertarian message to the YRs throughout the remainder of the week.

This is for real! Ron Paul in 2008!

Quote of the Week: "Of all the enemies to public liberty war is,
perhaps, the most to be dreaded because it comprises and develops
the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these
proceed debts and taxes... known instruments for bringing the many
under the domination of the few… No nation could preserve its
freedom in the midst of continual warfare." -- James Madison,
Political Observations, 1795
